Senior Director Of Development
As the Senior Director of Development, you will play a critical role in advancing the organization's mission and goals by leading fundraising and donor engagement efforts. You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies to support programs, initiatives, and organizational growth. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader who is passionate about making a difference. Directly Reports to: CEO and VP of Communication and Operations Location: 100% Onsite Key Responsibilities: Lead and execute a comprehensive development strategy to achieve annual revenue goals and ensure long-term sustainability. Supervise the Grant and Foundation Director and collaborate with the Executive Team to set and track fundraising goals. Cultivate relationships with corporations, foundations, and major donors to secure significant funding and expand the donor base. Identify and pursue new funding opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams. Partner with the VP of Communications & Operations on fundraising campaigns and promotional materials. Plan and oversee major fundraising initiatives, donor cultivation activities, and special eventsfocusing on securing corporate sponsorships rather than day-to-day event management. Manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects, including cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship to maximize engagement. Maintain and analyze donor data, ensuring accurate tracking, effective communication, and informed decision-making. Monitor fundraising performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices in donor engagement and data management. Oversee sponsor deliverables and maintain accurate sponsorship records, calendars, and renewal processes. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising with a proven track record of success in individual giving, major gifts, and corporate partnerships and a track record of securing six or seven figure gifts and donations. Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team, foster collaboration, and drive results. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including donors, board members, staff, volunteers, and community partners. Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of fundraising principles, best practices, and emerging trends in philanthropy. Results-oriented with the ability to set and achieve fundraising goals, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Proficiency in donor database management.
