Quality Technician 2nd Shift

Join a respected sheet metal fabrication company known for its precision, quality, and commitment to excellence. As a Quality Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring that all fabricated and painted parts meet strict industry standards. You'll work in a clean, climate-controlled facility equipped with modern tools and technology, supporting a variety of custom projects. Key Responsibilities

Perform 1st article, in-process, and final inspections on fabricated and painted sheet metal parts Use precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and surface plates to inspect welded, plated, and machined components Interpret blueprints and apply GD&T principles to verify part specifications Document inspection results for prototype and medium-run parts, including PPAP documentation Ensure compliance with AS9100 standards for tight tolerance parts What You Bring

Proficiency in micrometers, calipers, gauges, and surface plates Experience conducting 1st article, in-process, and final inspections Solid understanding of GD&T symbols and blueprint reading Familiarity with sheet metal inspection and PPAP processes Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards Preferred Qualifications

Experience with vision systems or CMM (e.g., Virtex scanner or similar) Strong computer skills, especially in Excel and data entry Why You'll Want to Work Here
