Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment of the plant. This role requires a hands-on experienced professional with a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
Roles/Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment, including conveyors, pumps, motors, and other mechanical systems. Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal operation of the plant equipment. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine appropriate repair solutions. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals as needed. Use hand and power tools to perform repairs and maintenance tasks. Collaborate with other maintenance and operations staff to ensure smooth plant operations. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Document maintenance activities and report any issues to the maintenance supervisor/manager. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in mechanical maintenance is preferred. 2 - 4 years of experience as a mechanical repairman/millwright, preferably in a cement or similar heavy industrial environment. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding. Ability to read and interpret technical documents. Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including heavy lifting and working in confined spaces. Ability to work shift work, overtime, and holidays as needed. Ability to be flexible with schedule and be on an on-call rotation. Benefits:
