Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a qualified and safety-focused
Progressive Die Operator
to join our production team. This role involves the setup, operation, and maintenance of stamping presses using progressive dies, along with the safe handling and movement of dies and materials using overhead cranes and tow motors. The ideal candidate will have strong die setting experience, mechanical aptitude, and a solid understanding of safe press operation. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate mechanical or hydraulic presses with progressive dies according to job specifications. Safely load and unload dies using overhead cranes and position them accurately in the press. Operate tow motors (forklifts) to transport materials, dies, and finished parts within the facility. Align and secure dies, make appropriate adjustments, and ensure accurate material feed and die function. Equal Opportunity Employer

Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges). Monitor part quality throughout the run and make machine or die adjustments as needed. Perform die changeovers efficiently and help reduce press downtime. Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety protocols. Document production data, downtime, and scrap according to company procedures. Communicate effectively with quality assurance, maintenance, and supervision teams. Required Skills and Qualifications: Minimum 2-3 years
of experience operating progressive die stamping presses. Proven die setting experience
in a manufacturing environment. Certified or experienced overhead crane operator. Tow motor (forklift) operation experience; certification preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and part specifications. Comfortable using precision measurement tools for part inspection. Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting and adjustment skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced, standing environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in automotive or metal stamping industry. Basic understanding of press maintenance and troubleshooting. Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
