General Statement of Duties
This vacancy is open until filled . Full-Time Maintenance Assistant I
Essential Duties
Assists in the operation, maintenance, repair, replacement and installation of architectural items including furniture, brick, block, plaster, sheetrock and other school property Emphasis on assisting with brick, concrete block and ceramic tile work Assists in the installation of architectural items Assists in repairing and troubleshooting Assists in the picking up and delivering of equipment that needs repair or has been repaired Ability to keep accurate records of equipment picked up and delivered to schools Performs ground maintenance: mowing, snow-ice removal Operates maintenance tools and equipment Maintains tools, equipment and supplies in accordance with standards Attends work daily and be engaged and on task Self auditing practices in safety awareness and procedures Performs overtime work and other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school or trade school with training and experience in a related field. Some knowledge of general maintenance tools and their use; must possess the ability to perform routine installation,maintenance and repair tasks independentl with minimum instruction and supervision.
Additional Information
Minimum salary 32,841.37 ($15.79 per hour). This posting is for a full-time Maintenance Assistant with Facilities. Salary will be prorated based on start date for the 2024-25 school year.
