We're looking for a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team and help ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and building systems.
Position Overview:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in overseeing and executing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing equipment breakdowns, coordinating with external contractors, and supporting overall facility upkeep. A key responsibility includes maintenance and technical support of our Lonati knitting machines, essential to our production process.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and execute equipment Planned Maintenance (PM) schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance and reduce downtime
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on production equipment, including Lonati knitting machines
Perform general facilities maintenance including lighting, plumbing, HVAC support, and building repairs
Coordinate with and oversee external contractors and vendors for specialized facility repairs or services
Maintain detailed records of repairs, PMs, and part usage in maintenance logs or CMMS
Ensure compliance with all safety standards and protocols (OSHA, company policies)
Assist in ongoing facility improvement projects, including layout changes and utility upgrades
Respond to urgent repair needs to minimize disruption to operations
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the operational and facilities teams
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications
Minimum 2+ years experience in industrial or facilities maintenance
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
Familiarity with basic carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC systems
Strong organizational and documentation skills
Comfortable working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks, including standing, climbing, and kneeling
Willingness to work overtime or respond to off-hour emergencies as needed
Qualifications:
Experience in a textile or knitting manufacturing environment
CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) experience
