Job Title:
Ground Support Equipment Mechanic (Aviation)
Schedule:
Full-time; seasonal peaks may require extended hours (paid) and occasional on-call rotation
Pay Range:
$45/hr. - $65/hr. BOE

Location:
100% Onsite - Covering 3 airports across Eagle, Gunnison, Montrose, Colorado. Must be a good independent worker, self-starter, and time manager to ensure adequate, prioritized coverage.
Duration:
Direct hire! Be a permanent employee from day one with no temp period.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair diesel/gas engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems on belt loaders, tugs, de-icing units, passenger vans, and baggage carts. Perform preventive maintenance (inspections, PM services, fluid/filter changes) and reliability projects during off-peak months. Read diagrams/schematics; use diagnostic and testing instruments to pinpoint faults quickly. Replace and adjust components; light fabrication or part modification as needed to return equipment to service. Document work orders, parts usage, and labor accurately and on time. Maintain safe, organized work areas; follow PPE, LOTO, and site safety procedures. Respond to equipment issues on the ramp during active operations and winter weather events. Qualifications:
2+ years of hands-on mechanic experience; diesel background strongly preferred. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Personal tool set suitable for heavy/light vehicle and equipment maintenance. Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. ASE certification preferred. Experience with de-icing systems or airport/industrial fleets.
