Job Description: MSC is looking for a CNC Technician that will be responsible for producing high-quality parts and components by setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines according to technical drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Setup: Set up and calibrate CNC machines, including loading and aligning workpieces, selecting tools, and adjusting machine settings.
Programming: Read and interpret technical blueprints and CAD/CAM files to program CNC machines for various operations.
Operation: Operate CNC machinery to perform tasks such as drilling, milling, turning, and grinding with high precision.
Quality Control: Inspect finished products using measuring tools and gauges to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any issues with machine performance or product quality, including making adjustments or replacing defective parts.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and any issues encountered during operations.
Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
Experience: Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in CNC machining is a plus. Engineering degree (preferred)
Skills:
Proficiency in operating CNC machines, including familiarity with various types of CNC equipment (e.g., lathes, mills).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files.
Strong understanding of machine tools, measurement instruments, and machining techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Basic knowledge of mathematics and ability to perform precise measurements.
Quality Assurance:
Adhere to quality control procedures and standards to ensure high-precision output.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and tooling to maintain optimal performance.
Review and interpret measurement reports to ensure parts meet tolerance and quality requirements.
Safety and Compliance:
