Warehouse Specialist / Material Handler LeadPosition Summary:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating government-furnished or contractor-owned powered industrial trucks to safely move, stage, and organize palletized merchandise within the RSHA and designated receiving areas.Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Valid forklift certification (OSHA-compliant). 1+ year of experience operating forklifts or MHE. Must understand forklift safety and maintenance procedures. Ability to work in refrigerated or freezer storage environments. Must pass a base access background screening. Duties and Responsibilities: Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to unload, transport, and store goods. Adhere to designated driving lanes and lifting protocols within RSHA. Maintain forklift logs and report any maintenance issues. Assist with physical placement of items in temperature-controlled zones. Secure and safely stack merchandise in designated staging areas. Follow safety and emission control requirements for MHE operations. Remove fuel tanks for propane-powered units after shifts as required.
