Job Type Full-timeDescriptionThe Bridge Engineer will play a key role in performing and overseeing technical designs, development of projects from conceptual to final design, oversee the preparation of contract plans and documents, and mentor junior staff. While the primary focus of this position is bridge engineering; there will also be building assignments, typically related to public works-related structures such as wastewater treatment plant structures, pump stations, salt sheds, etc. If you are passionate about structural engineering and contributing to impactful projects, we encourage you to apply and be a part of our dynamic team.Responsibilities:Assist in and lead the preparation of bridge and building design documents, including design calculations, AutoCAD or Microstation plans, specifications, and quantities.Develop designs for multiple state DOTs and municipalities.Prepare formal reports.Occasionally take part as a member of a field crew on structural inspections.Supervise/coordinate and mentor junior staff.Collaborate across internal disciplines and office locations.Preferred location is BETA's Manchester office. Candidates should have flexibility to work from our other office locations. BETA also offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing employees to request working remotely up to 2 days per week.
