We're looking for a technically strong, hands-on Manufacturing Manager to lead day-to-day shop floor operations across multiple departments and shifts, with a primary focus on CNC machining. This role requires deep knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and setup, along with proven experience managing large teams in fast-paced, high-complexity environments. The ideal candidate is comfortable engaging with our shop floor personnel, troubleshooting CNC issues, mentoring frontline staff, and driving shift performance. They will be responsible for managing throughput, ensuring shift efficiency, maintaining operational discipline, and upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate daily operations across CNC machining, deburr, polishing, and inspection-ensuring adherence to production plans and quality standards Leverage technical knowledge of CNC machining (G-code, setups, fixturing, tooling, speeds/feeds) to support teams and troubleshoot equipment or process issues on the floor Oversee multiple shifts and manage a large workforce, including staffing, training, performance management, and shift-level efficiency Drive daily/weekly production targets while minimizing downtime, addressing bottlenecks, and ensuring schedule adherence Act as point of escalation for supervisors and leads-resolving personnel, process, and technical challenges in real-time Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Planning to address roadblocks, implement process improvements, and ensure seamless cross-functional collaboration Promote and enforce safety protocols, company policies, and high standards of accountability across all areas Support Lean manufacturing, Gemba walks, and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve throughput, and optimize workflows Maintain high visibility on the floor-leading by example, earning trust, and fostering a culture of precision and ownership Qualifications

5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, with direct CNC machining experience (mills, lathes, multi-axis equipment) Proven ability to lead large production teams across multiple shifts in a high-mix, low-volume environment Deep technical knowledge of CNC programming, setups, tooling, G-code, and machining best practices Demonstrated experience improving shift efficiency, developing training programs, and solving complex manufacturing problems under pressure Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and ERP systems (Epicor preferred) Experience working with aerospace alloys and regulated materials such as beryllium, titanium, and nickel-based superalloys (preferred) Strong communication skills with a hands-on, floor-first leadership style and a proactive approach to problem-solving What We Offer

Salary Description

$130,000.00 - $150,000.00 Annually
