Position Overview:
The Associate Director, Government Pricing and Reporting, will be a key member of the Finance Team reporting to the Head of Finance. This role oversees the development, implementation, and management of pricing strategies and compliance reporting related to government healthcare programs (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, 340B). The goal is to ensure accurate pricing models, regulatory compliance, and timely reporting to optimize reimbursement and minimize risk. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of government pricing regulations, strong analytical skills, and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage data preparation, validation, calculation, and analytics for government and commercial contracts.
Analyze, document, review, and submit mandated product and pricing obligations for federal and state programs, including Medicaid, PHS, VA, and others within mandated timelines.
Develop and maintain controls to ensure compliance and timely completion of government program submissions such as AMP, BP, ASP, PHS, FCP, and state reporting.
Collaborate with third-party partners responsible for price transparency reporting and government pricing.
Maintain government pricing methodologies and SOPs reflecting current regulations.
Work with Accounting and Commercial teams to analyze rebate and chargeback data for government pricing calculations.
Provide analysis to support business decisions related to government pricing and contract strategies.
Monitor regulatory changes affecting government pricing and advise on impacts and strategies.
Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams on pricing strategies and compliance implications.
Support period-end closes with necessary documentation and calculations.
Deliver analytics and insights to improve forecasting, contracting, pricing, and business planning.
Assess and recommend on new government regulations and compliance strategies.
Drive continuous process improvements within the organization.
Contribute expertise to cross-functional projects and initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Law, or related field; MBA preferred.
At least 8 years of experience in government price calculation and reporting for federal and state programs.
Experience with launch preparation or commercialization of rare disease therapies.
Knowledge of Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) compliance and CMS rebate modeling.
Understanding of class-of-trade strategies, chargeback validation, and specialty distribution models.
Deep knowledge of U.S. government pricing statutes and regulations.
Ability to build relationships with government representatives.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes and propose solutions.
Proficiency in Excel and Word.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and coordinate with others.
