The Opportunity: Revolution Medicinesis seeking a motivated individual with a background in the life sciences industry to play a critical role in the accounting team. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, this newly created role will oversee the daily operations of the Accounts Payable (AP) team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments, adherence to internal controls, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance work environment. Manage and supervise the day-to-day tasks of the AP team, ensuring timely and accurate completion of payments.

Oversee the monthly closing of AP records, ensuring all transactions are reconciled and processed correctly.

Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve AP transaction issues and maintain smooth workflows.

Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, addressing payment and invoice related issues promptly.

Utilize Procure-to-Pay (P2P) tools to streamline accounts payable processes, enhancing data accuracy and reducing processing time. Continuously analyze and refine AP workflows to identify areas for improvement, implement best practices, and ensure timely and compliant payment processing, while leveraging technology to drive operational efficiency.

Manage the processing of employee travel and expense reports, corporate credit card programs, and provide guidance to travel program users, ensuring all T&E transactions adhere to company policies and procedures.

Prepare, submit, and provide detailed explanations for all AP audit materials, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Ensure timely and accurate submission of 1099 reports in compliance with federal and state regulations.

Identify and implement opportunities for systems and process improvements, enhancing operational efficiency while maintaining strong internal controls and proper segregation of duties.

Performing ad hoc projects as assigned and assisting on projects with various accounting team members.

Required Skills, Experience and Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.

5+ years accounts payable experience with proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and guide a team.

In-depth knowledge of accounts payable functions, including 1099 reporting, and payment systems.

Strong organizational, problem solving, and project management skills with high attention to detail.

Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with MS Excel and Microsoft Office products.

Preferred Skills: Experience driving systems implementations.

Experience with Coupa, Sage Intacct, and Concur software systems highly desired.
