The Night Auditor will be responsible for conducting all nightly audit-related duties while providing guest service at the hotel's front desk. Responsibilities include balancing duties, completing daily paperwork, and preparing shift reports. During these duties, the Night Auditor will attend to guest needs such as check-in/check-out, making reservations, and answering questions.
The role requires proactive thinking, maintaining guest security, and creating a safe, clean, and friendly environment.
The Night Auditor is responsible for counting cash and maintaining the accuracy of the cash drawer at the start and end of each shift.
Check the front desk log for issues, special requests, etc.
Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests.
Process guest registrations, including payment collection.
Prepare express checkout folios.
Maintain room status inventory.
Communicate shift information to the Front Office Manager, General Manager, and desk staff.
Maintain and clean the lobby and bathroom as needed.
Ensure a smooth transition by communicating all pertinent information to the next shift.
Work closely with all hotel departments to ensure high-quality customer service.
Answer inquiries about hotel services, guest registration, and local directions. Explain in-room and hotel features.
Complete all required shift paperwork and nightly audit reports daily.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
