Job Description
Responsible for project/program support under the supervision of the Procurement and Contracts Manager/Disadvantaged Business Enterprises Liaison Officer (DBELO). This includes project research, planning, maintaining management plans, developing schedules, reporting status, and coordinating activities with procurement staff and project managers. The role may lead small projects and serve as Subject Matter Expert for the PeopleSoft Procurement Module. Additionally, supports the agency’s Small Businesses and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises program, manages procurement of office supplies, tracks budgets, and oversees surplus vehicle and item processes. Essential Duties:
Develop and maintain procurement project documentation; conduct research on industry standards and regulations; recommend improvements. Process requisitions and purchase orders; monitor budgets; resolve communication issues; suggest performance improvements. Assist in leading project elements under the Procurement and Contracts Manager/DBELO; provide technical and administrative support, ensuring compliance. Create and maintain procurement schedules; prepare status reports; identify and address schedule issues. Coordinate and lead procurement training; support users; resolve process issues; escalate when necessary. Provide expertise on PeopleSoft Procurement Module upgrades, testing, and implementation; participate in project meetings. Lead the agency's surplus vehicle and item processes as directed. Support the Small Businesses and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises program. Perform other similar duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree or technical certificate in business administration or related field, or up to one year of specialized training in purchasing. Two years of experience with MS Office and automated purchasing systems. Two years of customer service experience. Strong organizational and communication skills. Equivalent education and experience may be considered. Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of PeopleSoft Procurement Module; Purchasing certification (CPPO or CPPB). Entry Requirements:
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; public procurement; budgeting; record management. Skills in documentation, project planning, communication, and training. Abilities in independent work, understanding instructions, handling stress, relationship building, meeting deadlines, and leading small projects. Additional Information
