Safran Federal Systems is seeking a driven Sales Manager to lead business growth in our cutting-edge GeoAI (Geospatial Artificial Intelligence) business. This is a high-impact role for a proven federal sales leader who thrives on closing complex deals, shaping business development strategies, and building lasting customer and partner relationships. You will own the full sales cycle from prospecting and pipeline generation to negotiations and close while also helping craft the long-term go-to-market strategy for our GeoAI business. This role blends the thrill of winning net-new business with the responsibility of building partnerships and scaling market presence. You will report directly to the EVP of GeoAI and collaborate closely with technical, marketing, and executive leadership. We develop AI-powered geospatial intelligence software that enables defense, intelligence, and homeland security customers to detect, classify, and identify objects of interest in satellite, airborne, and full-motion video data. Our mission-critical solutions support national security, defense operations, and emergency response helping analysts act faster and smarter. Safran Federal Systems is a U.S.-based, proxy-regulated defense technology company within the Safran Group. We are fully cleared to support classified and unclassified U.S. Government programs and work closely with top-tier agencies, prime contractors, and mission-critical operators. Your Responsibilities
Own the full sales lifecycle: prospecting ? discovery ? demo ? proposal ? close. Exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets through net-new federal and defense accounts. Navigate complex federal procurement (IDIQs, OTAs, SBIR/STTR, etc.). Build a healthy pipeline via outreach, industry events, referrals, and partner channels. Leverage CRM, LinkedIn, and networks to reach DoD, IC, and federal agency buyers. Qualify leads to ensure alignment with GeoAI mission objectives. Deliver compelling presentations and tailored demos to technical and executive audiences. Serve as the trusted point of contact for senior defense and intelligence customers. Negotiate and finalize contracts in coordination with executive and legal teams. Develop business development strategies aligned with company growth goals. Identify and build strategic partnerships with primes, tech providers, and influencers. Represent Safran Federal Systems at conferences, trade shows, and industry events. Maintain accurate pipeline, deal tracking, and forecast reporting in CRM. Provide leadership with regular sales performance updates and market intelligence. What You Bring
8+ years of B2B federal sales / business development experience, ideally in defense, ISR, AI, or geospatial solutions. Proven track record of exceeding quotas and closing 67 figure federal deals. Deep knowledge of federal procurement processes and contracting vehicles. Former military or IC background strongly preferred. Strong presentation, proposal development, and negotiation skills. Ability to engage technical buyers and senior decision-makers with confidence. U.S. Citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance required. Bachelor's degree required (advanced degree preferred).
