Territory Sales Manager
Every great beer has a journey, and youre the one who puts it on the map. As a Territory Sales Manager at Baxter Brewing Co., youll be the face of the brand in your market, connecting with retailers and distributor partners to grow Baxters presence across New England. This role is rooted in relationships and driven by a passion for sharing great beer with the people who sell and serve it every day. Based in the historic Bates Mill in Lewiston, Maine, Baxter Brewing has been New Englands original can-centric craft brewery since 2011. With a focus on sustainability, innovation, and adventure, were looking for someone who can bring that same energy into the field and help shape where our beer goes next. In this role, youll be responsible for managing a defined sales territory, strengthening existing partnerships, and identifying opportunities to expand Baxters reach. Youll represent the brand at the account level, ensuring our beer is properly placed, promoted, and supported across retail, bar, and restaurant locations. Your week may include everything from leading staff trainings and tastings to organizing promotional events and checking on product displays. Youll also collaborate with our distributor partners to track performance and share market feedback with the broader Baxter team. The ideal candidate has experience in beverage or consumer goods sales, a strong understanding of the craft beer industry, and the ability to thrive independently while staying connected to a collaborative team. You should be organized, personable, and driven to make a real impact. A valid drivers license and willingness to travel within your territory are required. What youll be doing: Work with distribution partners to achieve sales goals for volume, distribution, and other parameters Visit on and off premise accounts, including current and prospective buyers Track and update account visit activity and notes with Karma Monitor volume, distribution, and opportunities with VIP reporting Assist distributor partners in promoting sales and marketing programs Represent Baxter Brewing Company at tastings, promotions, beer festivals, and tradeshows Recap trade work to distributor and Baxter personnel through email Observe all state and federal laws for the sale, merchandising, and promotion of brewery products Other duties as assigned What your background looks like: 2+ years of industry experience in a sales role with a brewery or distributor is preferred Valid drivers license Bachelors degree preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Exceptional, consistent follow-through Effective time-management skills Ability to balance time out in the trade and administrative responsibilities Flexible schedule allowing for occasional night and weekend work Ability to lift and move product of weights up to 55 pounds
