Medical Assistant - Mid Ohio Pediatrics

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides both administrative and clinical support to ensure efficient primary care delivery while fostering a smooth, compassionate, and patient-focused experience. Full Time/Benefits Eligible Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm with rotating late night 6:30pm. Rotating Saturdays 8am - 12:30pm Westerville, OH ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Work closely with the physicians and advance practice providers to deliver the best care for our patients in an outpatient setting. Measure and record vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, height and weight in patients' EHR. Obtain medical histories. Set-up medical equipment and perform related tests as applicable, administer injections, and perform routine specimen collection and point of care tests. Responsible for vaccine administration as directed. Prepare patients and treatment rooms for exams. Review physician orders and lab requests and follows up as needed. Call in prescriptions/order refills as approved and directed. Communicate test results to patients as directed via phone and EMR. Assist with applicable forms and patient paperwork (not limited to processing of referrals, prior authorizations.). All other duties as assigned. Education, Licensures & Certifications: Required: Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Ohio Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Experience in population health management is desired.
