The Chief Quality Control Inspector ensures compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, foreign Civil Aviation Regulations, manufacturers’ specifications, and Air Carriers requirements. They are responsible for maintaining product integrity and ensuring quality standards are met by all personnel. Responsibilities
Assist in inspection procedures, vendor reviews, maintaining technical libraries, training records, ensuring FAR compliance, reliability monitoring, calibration, and record keeping of tools and equipment. Ensure all inspections are properly performed and documented before releasing products for return to service. Maintain current files on pertinent regulations, specifications, certification data sheets, and airworthiness directives. Conduct periodic checks and calibration of inspection tools and test equipment. Verify that no defective or unairworthy parts are installed in components or articles released by the station. Perform facility audits to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards. Manage Corrective Actions and establish standards based on past customer feedback. Assist in developing inspection standards, methods, and procedures in accordance with FAR, manufacturer recommendations, and customer requirements. Provide training, including current and recurrent sessions. Oversee workflow and inspector actions during final inspection and release of components. Communicate with management, FAA, other NAAs, and customers to resolve issues related to article release. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements
9 years of relevant/technical work experience OR Bachelor's degree in lieu of 3 years of work experience. Experience communicating with FAA and foreign NAAs. Ability to obtain Repairman’s License. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and scheduling applications. Preferred Requirements
Over 9 years of FAA 145 MRO inspection experience with similar units. A&P License. Experience with ISO and Lean practices. Other
