OVERVIEW:
The Relationship Manager develops and executes comprehensive fundraising and marketing strategies to engage and cultivate mass market donors for United Way of Greater Houston. Creates multi-channel campaigns that combine direct marketing tactics with relationship-building activities to maximize donor acquisition, retention, and upgrade potential; manages mass market donor communications and stewardship programs; and analyzes campaign performance to optimize fundraising results.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Campaign Development and Execution : Designs and implements fundraising campaigns across multiple channels including direct mail, email, social media, and digital platforms. Develops compelling messaging and donor communications that tell the organization's story and demonstrate impact. Creates campaign timelines, manages vendor relationships, and ensures all materials align with brand standards and organizational goals. Donor Relationship Management : Builds and maintains relationships with mass market donors through personalized stewardship activities, thank you communications, and engagement opportunities. Manages donor database segmentation and develops targeted communication strategies for different donor cohorts. Coordinates donor recognition programs and special events for mass market supporters. Data Analysis and Optimization : Tracks and analyzes fundraising metrics including response rates, average gift size, donor retention, and lifetime value. Prepares regular reports on campaign performance and ROI. Uses data insights to refine targeting strategies, improve messaging, and optimize campaign elements for maximum effectiveness. Strategic Planning and Collaboration : Works closely with AVP of Marketing and Communications and other team members to align fundraising activities with organizational priorities and marketing initiatives.
