We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented

Molecular Technologist

to join our dynamic laboratory team in New York. The ideal candidate will perform complex molecular diagnostic tests to detect genetic, infectious, and oncologic conditions using a variety of techniques including PCR, RT-PCR, NGS, and other molecular platforms. This is a critical role in supporting patient diagnosis, treatment, and management by delivering accurate and timely laboratory results.

Key Responsibilities Perform high-complexity molecular testing, including DNA/RNA extraction, amplification, detection, and sequencing. Operate and maintain advanced molecular instrumentation such as qPCR, NGS platforms, and automated extraction systems. Analyze and interpret test results in accordance with established protocols and quality standards. Ensure proper documentation and adherence to CLIA, CAP, and New York State laboratory regulations. Troubleshoot assay failures and equipment malfunctions with minimal supervision. Participate in method validation, assay development, and implementation of new technologies. Maintain accurate records and contribute to laboratory quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives. Collaborate with laboratory staff, pathologists, and other departments to ensure continuity of care. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Molecular Biology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field. New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License (or eligibility). 1-3 years of experience in a clinical molecular laboratory setting. Familiarity with molecular diagnostic techniques such as PCR, RT-PCR, NGS, and hybridization-based methods. Proficient in laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic medical records (EMR). Knowledge of CAP/CLIA regulations and laboratory safety protocols. Preferred Qualifications

ASCP certification (e.g., MB(ASCP) or MT(ASCP)). Experience with high-throughput platforms such as Illumina, Thermo Fisher, or Roche. Prior involvement in clinical assay validation or lab accreditation processes. Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
