Senior Project Manager
We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee critical initiatives within our Global Finance Transformation roadmap. This long-term contract position is based in Burlington, Massachusetts, and will focus primarily on data governance projects, requiring a proactive approach to managing complex cross-functional teams and delivering results on time and within budget. The role involves working in a hybrid environment, with in-office days from Tuesday to Thursday and remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Responsibilities: Lead and manage data governance projects within the Global Finance Transformation roadmap, ensuring successful execution from initiation to completion. Develop detailed work plans for each phase of a project and coordinate the recruitment or assignment of project personnel. Assign tasks, responsibilities, and scope of authority to team members to ensure project objectives are met. Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets, and address risks or issues promptly. Prepare and deliver regular status updates to working groups and finance leadership, highlighting progress and challenges. Review project proposals to determine resource allocation, funding needs, staffing requirements, and scheduling constraints. Populate and maintain the resource management system with accurate resource allocations. Apply best practices and methodologies in project management, such as those outlined by the Project Management Institute. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of finance transformation initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the finance transformation program. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Program Management, or a related field; equivalent work experience will also be considered. 8-12 years of experience in project management, with a background in finance process improvements and finance IT projects preferred. Demonstrated expertise in managing finance data governance projects is highly desirable. Proficiency in project management tools, with experience using Smartsheet as a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and effectively. Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse functional groups and organizational levels to achieve project goals. Exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Project Management certification preferred.
