POSITION PURPOSE:

The Part-Time International Admissions Specialist supports the admissions and compliance processes for international students at Navarro College.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) in SEVIS and ensure ongoing compliance with F-1 and M-1 regulations. Process international applications, verifying documents such as transcripts, English proficiency, vaccination records, and financials. Stay up to date on international admissions policy and make recommendations for changes and updates as needed. Issue and update Forms I-20; maintain accurate SEVIS and institutional records. Maintain confidentiality of student records in compliance with FERPA and institutional policies. Manage communication with international students via phone, text, email, and in person. Provide clear guidance on I-20 privileges and F-1 responsibilities (e.g., enrollment, work, travel, transfers, RCL, OPT/CPT, etc). Work with applicants, sponsors, and educational partners on admissions and immigration steps. Support onboarding through SEVIS check-in checklist monitoring, and follow-up. Maintain records and assist with document tracking, audits, and SEVIS reporting. Deliver front-line service to prospective and current students, both virtually and in person. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other systems for records management. Able to navigate multiple databases and adapt to new technology and compliance requirements. Excellent interpersonal communication and cross-cultural sensitivity. High attention to detail, especially when handling official documents and compliance tasks. Assist with domestic admissions and other duties as assigned. All other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Proficient in word processing with good keyboarding skills and basic computer literacy. Ability to comprehend and interpret college regulations and policies and apply to specific situations in accordance with established procedures. Ability to work well with faculty, staff, and students. Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision. Ability to make judgments and decisions based upon operating directives established by the Registrar. Ability to plan and organize work and to function as a team player. Ability to work under pressure and within tight time frames. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

Associate Degree Two (2) years of administrative, admissions or international education experience. U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency. Preferred

Bachelor's degree Experience with SEVIS, Colleague, Dynamic Forms, or related systems. Knowledge of F-1 visa regulations and international admissions processes. Experience working in a college or university setting, preferably in admissions or student services. Multilingual skills (Spanish, French, Arabic, or Chinese) are a plus. WORKING CONDITIONS:

Flexible scheduling may be required during peak periods. Busy working environment with numerous interruptions. Occasional travel to off-campus sites for work assignments.

SALARY:

$12.00 per hour / up to 19 hrs. per week
