The Junior Shipping Manager is an entry-level management role focused on supporting the smooth operation of Safetrust's shipping and receiving functions. This position involves assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of all shipping activities to ensure timely delivery of goods and accurate inventory management. The Junior Shipping Manager will work closely with the Production Manager and other departments, gaining valuable experience in logistics and supply chain practices while contributing to Safetrust's operational excellence.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Support daily shipping and receiving operations, including packing, labeling, loading, and unloading shipments Coordinate pickups and deliveries with carriers and freight forwarders, ensuring accurate documentation Verify shipments against invoices and purchase orders; resolve discrepancies as needed Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock checks and reconciliations Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs forms Track shipments and communicate delivery updates or delays to stakeholders Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in the shipping area Identify opportunities to improve shipping efficiency, cost, and service quality Collaborate with internal teams on shipment status and related logistics Respond to shipping-related issues and customer inquiries Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe Perform additional tasks as assigned Skills & Experience

1-3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or a related warehouse operations role Familiarity with domestic and international shipping practices, including carrier coordination, customs documentation, and freight logistics Working knowledge of shipping software (e.g., UPS/FedEx portals, freight forwarder platforms) and Microsoft Office (especially Excel) Experience preparing shipping documents such as bills of lading, packing lists, and customs forms Strong attention to detail, particularly when verifying shipment contents and documentation Basic understanding of inventory systems and experience assisting with stock checks or reconciliations Ability to lift, move, and handle packages up to 50 lbs. safely, as needed Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with carriers, vendors, and internal teams Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously Problem-solving skills to resolve shipping discrepancies or customer concerns promptly Understanding of workplace safety procedures and commitment to maintaining a clean and compliant work environment Team-oriented mindset, with the flexibility to assist in other warehouse tasks as needed Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field is a plus 1-3 years of experience in a shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations role Familiarity with shipping platforms (e.g., FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip) and inventory management systems or ERPs (e.g., NetSuite) Working knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations, including customs and export documentation Basic understanding of supply chain and logistics principles OSHA certification or awareness of workplace safety standards is a plus
