Performs first piece, in-process, and final inspections ensuring all quality standards are met. Continually monitoring quality systems for compliance.Accountabilities and Responsibilities: To observe all safety rules/regulations and perform duties in a safe and efficient manner.Perform safety audits and/or observations. (CBT's and safety program)Understands what machines and products are being manufactured.Communicate with the quality technician from the previous shift and discuss all pertinent information regarding manufacturing issues (orders, machine issues, staffing...).Perform first piece inspections, perform in-process inspections and perform final inspections.Perform periodic inspections on production lines to ensure the products are within acceptable limits (weight, tolerances...). Contact operator and report any non-conforming issues.Train operators on each machine to ensure clear understanding of quality standards.Assist with new product launch qualification and other objectives as directed by quality supervisor/manager.Ensure that shipping containers are packed according to customer specifications. Box counts.Maintain calibration system. Update and maintain compliance. Assists on machines/lines as required.Coordinate with Production or other personnel in developing and taking necessary corrective action when non-conformances are discovered.Communicate issues in analyzing Quality System performance using available data from statistical processes, audit information, etc.Be attentive to inconsistencies, inefficiencies, and processes in need of improvement.
