The Maintenance Technician is a member of the Technical Services Department and responsible for general maintenance/engineering support for the station under the direction of the Chief Engineer.
Assist in maintaining all station broadcast equipment within the facility
Responsible for specialty projects and set updates.
Running video and network cables within the broadcast facility.
Installing, troubleshooting and maintain remote cameras on buildings and tower sites.
Assist IT Dept installing and maintaining IT Equipment and infrastructure.
Review and maintain system design documents and drawings.
Perform routine maintenance on all broadcast equipment at all facility locations.
Problem solving/troubleshooting to reduce equipment downtime and maximize system efficiency.
Develop audio/video that meet end users’ requirements. Assist in maintaining network connectivity and assisting IT personnel as needed.
Generates analysis from concept to completion on projects assigned.
Interface with various users, technical services, technicians, and other Engineers to implement, install and debug these systems
Responsible for successful completion of new initiatives and operational projects
Perform other job-related duties as requested by management
Requirements & Skills:
Advanced technical/science degree or related work experience preferred.
Experience in painting, electrical and plumbing or other related work experience preferred.
Familiar with broadcast audio, video and control systems, video servers, graphics & IT systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient with Windows operating systems.
Detail oriented with ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
After hours and holiday work may be necessary.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and climbing ladders required.
