Realm Cellars is one of Napa Valley's most electrifying wine brands with estate vineyards in Stags Leap District, Pritchard Hill and Coombsville. In 2012, owner Scott Becker set out to revive a nearly bankrupt brand, bringing together a team that would help reshape its future. Since then, Realm has been transformed into one of the most collected wineries in Napa Valley, with a vineyard portfolio that today exemplifies the greatness and diversity of Napa Valley. Formerly the Hartwell Estate, Realm acquired the property in 2015 and began initial construction and development phases of an endeavor that will take decades to realize. In 2022, Realm acquired Nine Suns and Houyi Vineyard in Napa Valley's famed area, Pritchard Hill. The
Facilities Maintenance Technician
performs a wide variety of maintenance duties to ensure that all Realm assets are properly maintained and meet our exacting standards. Duties range from hands-on repairs and troubleshooting to long-term maintenance using our CMMS system.

Location: The role's primary location is in
St. Helena at Realm Houyi Estate
(Map). Houyi Estate is located on Pritchard Hill on the eastern side of Napa Valley, at an elevation of nearly 1300 feet. The facility sits in the middle of the vineyard and focuses on the production of our Houyi Cabernet Sauvignon. Houyi's cellar and caves have state of the art equipment to produce some of our most sought-after wines. Realm Houyi is a showplace and we are often hosting guests. Those who work here need to have a very high level of attention to detail and work in a very clean manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Facilities Maintenance:
Performs repairs and maintenance on buildings and winery equipment. Takes ownership to maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and functionality of our properties. Procures materials, tools, equipment, and information to ensure tasks are efficiently completed. Creates and executes work orders and preventative maintenance tasks using our CMMS system. Provides support to the cellar team, vineyard team, and sales/marketing team to ensure seamless operation of all parts of the business. May operate heavy equipment such as excavators, skid-steers, and water trucks. Maintains a very strong attention to detail throughout all aspects of their work. Repairs winery crush equipment, glycol systems, boilers, air compressors and backup generators. Safety:
Follows all safety policies and procedures. Encourages teammates to behave safely and solves problems with the team. Maintains a clean and orderly workspace and environment at all facilities. Participates in the fire response team. Additional Duties:
Participate in 1:1s with supervisor every two weeks; receptive to ongoing feedback and coaching while showing effort to improve skills. Ensure work is accurate, precise, and high quality. Demonstrate resiliency through supporting and collaborating with teammates, accepting and learning from mistakes, and embracing a change and growth mindset. Qualifications
3 years of facilities maintenance experience; winery experience preferred but not required. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Proficient oral and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with preferred experience in communication platforms like Slack. Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking) with Spanish proficiency preferred. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work under constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. Strong attention to detail. The ability to solve problems and set priorities. Ability to work extended shifts and irregular hours as needed. Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable under Company standards. Although primarily located at Houyi Estate, must be able to travel between five sites within the Napa Valley as needed (Company truck provided for travel between sites). Physical Requirements
Frequent bending, standing, kneeling, climbing ladders, reaching below and above shoulders, and lifting objects weighing up to 60 lbs., while performing job duties. Wrist, hand, and finger dexterity are required to operate various equipment and materials. Able to wear all required personal protective equipment safely and effectively. Capable of safely and effectively operating a forklift. Forklift certified preferred.
Work Environment:
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions. Must be able to work in a variety of temperatures, humidity levels, and weather conditions. May be exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, noise, and temperature extremes.
