Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Reconstruction Estimator
to join their team. This position is ideal for either a seasoned
insurance adjuster
with strong
Xactimate software experience
or a
construction professional
with a solid background in estimating using
Xactimate
in the reconstruction and restoration industry. The ideal candidate will play a key role in scoping, estimating, and coordinating residential and/or commercial reconstruction projects following property damage (fire, water, storm, etc.).
Key Responsibilities: Prepare accurate, detailed, and timely reconstruction estimates using
Xactimate
software. Conduct on-site inspections to assess property damage and determine the full scope of work needed. Interpret and apply insurance policy coverage to estimate reconstruction costs, when applicable. Collaborate with property owners, insurance adjusters, project managers, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle. Create work orders and support project hand-off from estimating to production teams. Maintain thorough documentation and photo records for all estimates. Monitor project budgets and support change orders as needed. Ensure estimates are aligned with company margins and timelines. Qualifications:
Proven experience with
Xactimate
estimating software (required). Background in
insurance adjusting
or
construction estimating
in restoration/reconstruction. Strong knowledge of residential and/or commercial construction practices. Ability to read blueprints, plans, and technical specifications. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills. IICRC, Haag, or Xactimate certifications are a plus. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Experience:
