Summary:
Caracas Construction is seeking a Heavy/Highway Equipment Operator to run heavy construction equipment on its' roadway construction sites. The operator will run a variety of equipment through the course of a project, including, but not limited to: rubber tired excavators, track excavators, loaders, skidsteers, backhoes, rollers, and graders. Operators must be safety conscious, quick thinking, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Type of Work: Trenching and backfilling for Water Pipes, Sewer Pipes, Drain Pipes. Excavation and grading for sidewalks, curbs, roadways. Reports To: Foreman and Site Superintendent Responsibilities: Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment to achieve production goals. Work in conjunction with laborers to accomplish tasks. Able to understand and work within the boundaries of a roadway traffic setup. Ensure equipment is kept clean and properly lubricated. Excavating and grading roadway and sidewalks. Trenching and backfilling for pipeline installation. Handling, placing, and removing heavy objects such as concrete structures, trench boxes, and steel plates. Ability to operate with various attachments, including hammers, rammers, and various buckets. Requirements: 3+ years of relevant experience running heavy equipment on construction sites 2A Hoisting Engineer License OSHA 10 Certification DOT Physical US Work Authorization US Valid Drivers License
