Omnicom Media Group US
Omnicom Media Group (OMG), the media services division of Omnicom Group Inc. (NYSE: OMC) - delivers transformational experiences for consumers, clients, and talent. Powered by the Omni marketing orchestration system, OMG connects best-in-class capabilities that enable our full-service media agencies OMD, PHD, and Hearts & Science to deliver more relevant and actionable consumer experiences, more productive and proactive client experiences, and more collaborative and rewarding talent experiences for the more than 24,000 people serving the world's leading brands in OMG agencies around the globe.
Omnicom Media Group's Center of Excellence is seeking a highly organized, detail-obsessed project leader to join as Director of Social Operations. This role is core to how we scale operational excellence, streamline tooling and training, and enable high-performing teams across OMG agencies.
Reporting to the SVP of Social, you'll serve as the operational backbone of the social practice-leading initiatives that bring structure, consistency, and innovation to how we work. You'll partner across disciplines to ensure our systems, platforms, and processes are clear, current, and high-impact. If you thrive on managing complex projects, spotting (and solving) inefficiencies, and building systems that empower others-this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Operations & Governance
Lead critical operational initiatives in close partnership with the SVP, building scalable systems, processes, and documentation that drive clarity and accountability across OMG agencies. Lead complex, multi-workstream projects from planning through execution-tracking timelines, aligning stakeholders, and maintaining high standards of quality. Manage and evolve centralized resources (hubs, templates, playbooks, process docs) to ensure consistent knowledge sharing and platform excellence. Own OMG's platform governance framework, leading permission audits, access escalation processes, and platform hygiene protocols. Identify resourcing or process gaps and develop clear roadmaps to address them with rigor and speed. Training & Learning
Co-design and launch training programs that upskill teams on platform best practices, new tools, and social innovation. Partner with L&D to scale certification pathways and learning programs across the network. Collaborate with product and engineering resources to build enablement tracks for new tools and feature rollouts-ensuring clear adoption plans and success metrics. Contribute to thought leadership and storytelling that promote OMG's differentiated social POV. Tooling & Product Adoption
Support the evolution of the OMG social product roadmap and drive adoption of existing proprietary social tools across the network. Bring the end-user's POV into product development phases, ensuring that functionality aligns with day-to-day activation needs and user feedback loops inform roadmap prioritization. Ensure all social tools are rolled out with proper training and documentation that supports adoption targets. Beyond social tools, act as an SME for OMG products that enhance the social practice, and support in driving adoption Community & Culture
Lead community-building initiatives that foster cross-agency connection and knowledge flow, such as monthly syncs, quarterly town halls, and internal showcases. Maintain internal comms and recognition programs that spotlight wins and amplify innovation. Champion a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement within the social practice. Ideal Candidate:
Required Experience
7+ years
in a media agency or digital marketing environment, with hands-on experience in social campaign management and/or operations. Proven track record of leading cross-functional projects and building scalable internal systems and documentation. Experience supporting platform governance, tooling rollouts, or learning enablement programs. Skills & Mindset
Exceptional project management abilities-able to juggle multiple initiatives, meet deadlines, and align stakeholders across disciplines. High attention to detail-notices the small things that create big operational impact. Strong communicator who can influence without authority, lead with empathy, and keep teams aligned and energized. Proficient in tools like Notion, Smartsheet, Confluence, Asana, or similar for project tracking and documentation. Comfortable navigating ambiguity with a
builder's mindset
and bias for action.
Why Join Us?
You'll be at the center of a practice-wide transformation, helping elevate how OMG operates at scale across social platforms. This is a rare opportunity to shape systems that power some of the largest advertisers in the world. If you're a structured thinker, an operator at heart, and someone who gets energy from helping others thrive, we'd love to meet you.
We encourage candidates of all backgrounds and experiences to apply-even if you don't meet every listed qualification. Your perspective might be exactly what we need.
