Job Description The

Maintenance Technician

is responsible for the upkeep of the community through the repair and maintenance of buildings, grounds, and support equipment. This associate ensures the safety and health standards for the property are being met, resulting in a safe and secure environment for residents, family members, guests and associates.

Availability: Sunday-Thursday 8am-4:30pm or 10:30am-7pm

Pay: $20-$25/hr

What will I do every day?

Maintain the physical condition of the interior and exterior systems and machinery of the community campus as directed by the supervisor

Diagnose and repair problems in such areas as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware accessories, masonry, painting/wallpaper, water features (pools, spas, etc.) and waste management systems

Complete assigned service requests Perform turn-key work as required to ensure vacant apartment homes are rent-ready in a timely manner

Assist with organizing and prioritizing service requests and general maintenance tasks

May supervise the work of other associates and outside contractors

What will I need to be successful in this role?

High school graduate preferred

One to three years’ experience in maintenance service work orders and property maintenance

Basic competency in the use of multiple forms of technology, including: Microsoft Office applications, internet-based and custom applications (not all JDs)

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed

Special Requirements/Certifications I may need?

Technical training or HVAC certification is desirable

Skill in patch, texture and painting is desirable

Should have high degree of mechanical skill
