Job Profile Summary
Under limited supervision, the College Recruiter will be responsible for planning, developing, and facilitating student recruitment programs/events and college readiness workshops. This position will be assigned by regions throughout the college's feeder area and will be responsible for establishing relationships and planning recruitment events with high schools, community agencies and business entities within assigned region. This position will also be responsible for implementing the recruitment activities identified in the college's enrollment management plan. Collaboration with the campuses is required in the planning and implementation of these recruitment events to include open houses, career success summits, etc.
This position allows eligible veterans and their spouses to claim Veterans' Preference pursuant to Florida Statute 295. Certain servicemembers may be eligible to receive waivers for postsecondary educational requirements, in the employment by the state and its political subdivisions and are encouraged to apply for the positions being filled.

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree preferred. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.
Minimum Experience/Training: Four years of related/relevant experience, preferably in student recruiting/admissions.
Essential Functions: Daily - 35%: Coordinates and facilitates outreach for recruitment purposes to community agencies, businesses, high schools, community schools, GED Centers, etc. Responsible for prospective student follow-up and communication to resolve potential barriers. Daily - 15%: Advises prospective students on academic and career opportunities at Broward College. Inform and refer students as needed to both campus and community resources. Daily - 15%: Provides students with information and resources to successfully prepare them for post-secondary educational, and career opportunities and monitors/tracks student progress. Daily - 20%: Assists campuses with engaging student prospects and applicants through the enrollment process. Daily - 10%: Develops, coordinates and executes seminars, workshops, and events to communicate strategies aimed at improving students' college readiness. Coordinates with Marketing Department to design recruitment materials. Other - 5%: Performs related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Fully proficient in professional and functional standards and protocols of position General understanding of College's structure, policies and practices, and the impact on own area. Knowledge of Federal and State laws. Expertise in understanding and following project plans, including the coordination of multiple resources and activities Ability to exchange information with individuals and collaborate with colleagues within the College as well as presentation skills Requires advanced knowledge of computerized systems and operating environments. Ability to interact and effectively communicate with employees and student population Familiarity with higher education enrollment management principles Strong public speaking skills
