Description
Responsible for International Replacement Spare Parts business on both B&W and non-B&W boilers as well as both B&W and non-B&W electrostatic precipitators (ESP's). Develop strategies to optimize quote content, respond to customer requests for standard and complex parts requests, maintain relationships with external and internal customers for in-kind parts and niche opportunities. Coordinates development of scope of supply, cost estimates, associated lead-times, export packaging requirements, commercial terms and conditions of offering, and delivery requirements per INCO terms 2020. Assume project management responsibilities after contract awards to ensure on time deliveries are met and within cost estimates.
Responds to customer requests for parts quotes on non-part-numbered and first-of-kind boiler products Propose alternate technical and commercial strategies in support of sales, marketing and product development Discuss customer requirements with Sales Reps, Field Service and the customer Review vendor and sublet quotes for optimum lead-time and potential cost savings Work with International Sales Reps during the quote stage to incorporate known market intelligence Develop strategies to win public bids Interface with engineering and marketing to increase knowledge of B&W products and services Develop relationships with International Sales Reps as a single point contact for niche opportunities and repeat in-kind parts orders. Responsible for contractual and financial commitments related to customer orders in support of international Replacement Parts financial goals Manage customer requests for quotes and orders that require special attention due to complexity and or financial impact Responsible for financial decisions based on company policy such as pricing policy, returned material, credits, and discounts. Manage small and large ESP parts orders Manage small and large replacement pressure part orders Manage replacement pulverizer and burner parts in-kind orders Coordinate all activities with B&W purchasing, credit, legal, accounting, warehouses, manufacturing shops, transportation, export packaging companies, and freight forwarder companies to ensure on time deliveries
Qualifications
Strong communication skills with International Sales Reps, customers and internal B&W personnel. Knowledge of PLM, Data Warehouse, Visibilty, ability to read drawings, bills of material and understand cost tabs. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced office environment. General knowledge of B&W boiler components and manufacturing processes: ie: pulverizers, burners, pressure parts and ESP parts.
Expect qualified candidate to possess knowledge normally associated with a Bachelors degree in Engineering or Business Administration. Must have at least five years relevant experience, preferably in Field Service, Replacement Parts, Estimating, or other technical role. Some travel may be required. Should be willing to be available after hours when needed to work with customers in different world time zones.
