Objective / Purpose: The Senior System Owner for Benchling Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN)to join our Research Data, Digital and Technology team. In this role, you will serve as Takeda’s internal expert on Benchling, leading the configuration, implementation, and support of Benchling ELN across our global research sites. You will partner closely with scientists, DD&T, and other business stakeholders to translate scientific workflows into efficient digital solutions, driving adoption and ensuring long-term system success. Accountabilities: Serve as Takeda’sinternal subject matter expertfor Benchling ELN.

Lead and support theglobal rolloutof Benchling ELN across multiple R&D functions.

Configure Benchling to support diversescientific workflows, ensuring alignment with business and compliance requirements.

Engage with users tounderstand laboratory processes, gather requirements, and deliver optimized solutions in Benchling.

Partner with IT and vendor teams to ensure successfulimplementation, integration, and validationof the platform.

Provide ongoinguser support, training, and adoption strategies, acting as the primary liaison between scientists and system teams.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders todevelop governance processes, manage enhancements, and prioritize new feature requests.

Manage relationships with Benchling and 3rd-party implementation partners, ensuring effective vendor engagement, delivery quality, and alignment with Takeda’s needs.

Stay up to date with Benchling product roadmap andproactively recommend improvementsto maximize system value.

Education & Competencies (Technical and Behavioral): MS with ~6+ years of industry related experience or BS with ~8+ years of industry related experience.

BS/MS in abiological science(e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or related discipline).

Hands-on experience configuring and implementing Benchling, preferably with experience inglobal system rolloutsin a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company.

Strong understanding ofscientific workflowsin drug discovery R&D organizations.

Demonstrated ability to translate scientific requirements intodigital configurations and workflows.

Excellent communication andstakeholder engagement skillsacross scientific and technical teams.

Experience withglobal system rolloutsin a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company.

Familiarity with related digital lab systems (e.g., LIMS, data visualization, or analytics platforms).

U.S. Base Salary Range: $137,000.00 - $215,270.00
