The Center of Health and Rehabilitation Research (CoHRR) is seeking a program coordinator to work on the SHARE-CSD project under the supervision of Professor Sudha Arunachalam. SHARE-CSD is an intensive summer experience for undergraduate students who are interested in science and health fields. The program provides a hands-on research experience taking place on the NYU campus in June-July of each year. The incumbent will play a key role in all aspects of the program, including administration and coordination with students during the academic year, and on-site support for students during the summer. Responsibilities include:
communicate with constituents across the university, including students, staff, faculty, and administrators
update and maintain the program website and the alumni database
assist with recruitment of potential student participants and compile student applications
coordinate with university offices such as summer housing and financial aid
assist in creating the program schedule
make travel arrangements for program participants and process travel expense reimbursements
onboard student participants and support them as needed.
The position will not include any supervisory responsibilities. This one-year part-time appointment is for 15 hours/week and begins on September 2, 2025.
In general, the job duties for this position require minimal in-person interaction and can be performed remotely >60% of the time. The incumbent is expected to be fully present on-site for six weeks during the summer of 2026, while the SHARE-CSD summer program is underway.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly pay range for this position is $30. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
Qualifications
At a minimum, candidates must have prior experience with research in Communicative Sciences and Disorders.

Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with diverse student populations
Strong critical thinking skills
