The Estimator reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for evaluating restoration and construction projects, preparing accurate scopes of work, and ensuring estimates support both client needs and team efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct on-site property inspections to assess mitigation and construction needs
Prepare accurate, detailed estimates with proper scope of work and clear protocols
Submit estimates within required timeframes with minimal corrections needed
Negotiate and communicate scope details with clients, project managers, and stakeholders
Ensure estimates are aligned with insurance standards, industry best practices, and applicable codes
Identify potential gaps in scope to minimize change orders or missed work
Provide support to project managers to ensure smooth project execution
Maintain organized estimate files and project documentation for easy review
Assist in training and mentoring team members on estimating practices when needed
Participate in job handoffs and project kickoff meetings to ensure alignment
Position Requirements
High School Graduate or GED Equivalent
Valid Driver’s License
3+ years of experience in estimating mitigation and construction projects (restoration industry experience strongly preferred)
At least one year of restoration industry experience preferred
IICRC certifications preferred
Ability to read and interpret construction documents, blueprints, and specifications
Strong process and results driven attitude
Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Xactimate, Symbility, or equivalent)
Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects
Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law
Ability to produce accurate, detailed estimates with minimal revisions
Ability to deliver estimates on time while managing multiple projects
Ability to anticipate scope gaps and reduce change orders
Ability to communicate clearly and negotiate effectively with clients and team members
