We currently have openings for Quality Inspectors in our Guntown, MS location.
Summary: Inspects
each piece of furniture as it reaches the end of the upholstery line prior to it being packed.
Essential functions of the job:
Inspects each piece of furniture as it reaches the end of the upholstery line. Contacts Upholstery Line Supervisor and/or Quality Control Supervisor as rejects occur, or questions regarding passing or failing of quality requirements.
Inspects items such as pleats, width of legs, cushion regulation, staples in material, and black bottom. Also checks for waves or pulls in the arms, flaws or tears in material, stains, holes in black bottom, loose tacking strips, etc. Ensures cover is pulled tight on the back and other areas of furniture.
Applies tags and labels as directed.
Attends safety audits as needed.
Performs other duties as required by supervisor.
Minimum Requirements :
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
High School Diploma or GED not required.
Working Conditions
Typical factory working conditions with exposure to heat, dust, oil, etc.
Pay range is $22.50 - 24.00 / hour.
