Job Summary The National Business Development Director (BDD) oversees the acquisition and cultivation of business and nonprofit donors and clients, nationally. This role is for our WayFM Network and our Houston market. The BDD nationally organizes and implements prospecting plans and pledge/servicing plans to exceed Hope Media Group ministry and financial objectives. The BDD seeks opportunities to infuse Hope Media Group's mission "Engaging people to love Jesus, serve others, and spread Hope" with business and ministry partners. Essential Functions Business Partner Engagement:Seek and fulfill national and network wide opportunities to help business and ministry partners infuse Hope Media Group's mission "Engaging people to love Jesus, serve others, and spread Hope"Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing organizations, nationallyAchieve growth by hitting national sales targets and activity goalsDevelop and implement strategies to Win, Keep and Lift business development income, nationallyProspect high-potential accounts, nationallySet appointments with key decision makers and manage multiple appointments per week with qualified prospects, nationallyPresent and gain agreement to sponsorship opportunities including radio, digital, event, and content elements, nationallyBuild and promote strong, long-lasting business partner relationships, nationallyServe and support business partners with fresh ideas, sponsorship content and communication strategies, nationallySelf-direct daily activities to ensure successful achievement of revenue goals, nationallyMaintain visibility in the business community through networking events and other opportunities , nationallyTeamsmanship:Cross-Departmental leadership and collaborationInput all client information and activity into CRMAccurately track, report, and forecast revenueCollect donations from existing business partnersWork with HMG Creative Audio Services to create sponsor announcements that are IRS and FCC CompliantInput schedules and collaborate with traffic system/department to fulfill commitmentsAssist with station events and promotions as needed and directed by leadershipAdhere to accounting department payment and collection proceduresUnderstanding and advocate for the unique nature of Hope Media Group servicesParticipate in organizational fundraising and community events as directedPrepare for regular SP and L10 MeetingsMaintain a working knowledge of EOSProfessional Growth:Set aside time regularly for continuing education including industry trends, digital products, and sales trainingPartner with Senior Director, Partner Engagement on regular coaching and trainingDemonstrated Faith:Committed to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Be spiritually grounded and Biblically literate.Comfortable praying for co-workers in team meetings, leading spoken prayer, and participating in ministry prayer meetings and Bible studies.Lives by the Christian principles defined by the Ministry Statement of Faith.Participates in on-air fundraisers and prays for donors as needed.Has a passion for leveraging the platform of radio and digital products for evangelism and discipleship.Exhibits a strong moral character.Is an active member of a Bible believing local church.RequirementsEducation: Bachelor's DegreeExperience: 2 to 4 years of advertising media sales or other relevant work experience required.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Listens and quickly picks up on verbal/tonal cuesWrites and edits messages for underwriting and sponsorship partnersClearly communicates both verbally and in writing with corporate partners by telephone, letter, e-mail, and in personMinistry minded self-starter who learns quickly Shows initiative and consistently hungers for continuous improvementDiscerns and elicits the interests and concerns of others, meeting needs and discovering ways to improve engagement with donorsDemonstrates strong moral, ethical and relational skillsDesires and shows willingness to pray for othersIdentifies priorities and manages their time and their team's time to achieve goalsWorks independently while directing and inviting team support with minimal supervisionSound understanding of the theology of fundraising and fundraising ethicsProficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel & Teams.
