The Billing & Authorizations Specialist supports billing processes, authorization workflows, and credentialing activities across multiple locations. This role ensures accurate claims submission, timely authorization entry, and adherence to payer requirements, contributing to operational consistency and compliance across locations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct eligibility & Benefits checks across all areas (Last Friday & 1st of each month) Train Intake team on SLP & OT Authorizations Process lab Authorizations & Billing Handle medical billing, claim submission, and denial resolution Support credentialing processes for all providers Requirements: Maintain accuracy and timeliness in billing and authorization entries Ensure compliance with payer guidelines and internal policies Collaborate effectively with intake, clinical, and administrative teams Familiarity and experience with CentralReach Ability to interpret an EOB and knowledge of computerized billing systems Ability to communicate with patients in a courteous yet stern manner to collect on delinquent accounts Ability to use individual judgement to solve problems and make decisions Non-Discrimination Statement The Atlanta Autism Center (AAC) is an equal opportunity employer. Requirements Education and/or Experience: Requires 2 years minimum experience in a medical business office setting. Qualifications & Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills Familiarity with CentralReach, and/or Medical, ABA, SLP or OT billing Strong understanding of medical terminology, and payer requirements Computer skills including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office (including Excel), and relevant Medical/ABA software systems including ECW and Central Reach.
