Sr. Academic Program Coordinator
who will have administrative responsibility for complex program elements requiring collaboration with students, faculty, and/or other departments. The Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology is a large basic science department. This position will support the Director of our graduate programs and work closely with the Academic Program Administrator.
This position is a student facing position and will liaise with students and faculty. Currently, the department has 2 masters programs and one doctoral program, however plans are in process to develop an online master program.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Academic advising assignments. Course and exam schedules. Create and maintain faculty, student, and course information records. Provide information to students about admission criteria, program offering, degree prerequisites & requirements. Assist with departmental academic events, to include recruitment activities and student visits, career development activities and discussion panels, orientation activities, receptions, and seminars. Collaborate with Academic Program Administrator with student handbook revisions and updates. Liaison to International Office and resource to students regarding visa issues. Manage student facilities and space request processes. Assist with monitoring course schedules and program deadlines communication. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or graduation equivalent. Five years progressively responsible administrative/academic experience. Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree.

Starting Salary Range: Min $21.00 - Max $36.50 HRLY ($65,325 targeted; Commensurate with experience)

This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers. Any vaccinations required for these diseases will be given at no cost in our Occupational Health office.
