Your Role and Responsibilities Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing tailored care plans Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in partnership with physicians or independently as per your credentials Educating patients and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment options Prescribing necessary medications and therapies within the bounds of your scope of practice Engaging in chronic care management and patient follow-ups Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to assure comprehensive, patient-focused care Accurately documenting all patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) Qualifications and Certifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner training program Required Licenses and Certifications
Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in Nevada National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or specialty equivalent Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to achieve within 90 days) What Makes You Stand Out
