Production Supervisor

Ready Foods has embraced lean manufacturing as our operating philosophy. We take inspiration from the Toyota Production System and the principles elucidated by Shigeo Shingo and Taiichi Ohno.
Our new Production Supervisor will be responsible for the execution of production goals and objectives during their shift. The Supervisor will create a safe environment aligned with Ready Foods safety values. In addition, he/she must create a team culture that is in alignment with Ready Foods’ mission, vision and strategic plans. The position is a full-time salaried position reporting directly to the Production Superintendent or Manager.
Responsibilities Include:
Lead & Develop Teams:
Supervise, mentor, and coach production employees to achieve their full potential Conduct regular team meetings and performance check-ins Promote a positive, respectful, and accountable work environment Ensure proper staffing, training, and shift coverage
Execute Production Plans:
Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly production targets Minimize downtime and ensure efficient use of resources Monitor output to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with specifications Communicate clearly with scheduling, maintenance, quality assurance, and warehouse teams
Drive a Culture of Safety:
Promote and enforce all workplace safety standards Conduct safety audits and support investigations of incidents or near-misses Ensure team compliance with PPE use, sanitation, and safe operating procedures
Ensure Food Safety and Quality Compliance:
Monitor and enforce adherence to GMPs, HACCP, and SSOPs Collaborate with QA to resolve quality issues and support audits Maintain clean, organized workspaces aligned with food safety standards
Champion Lean Manufacturing:
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities Eliminate waste and streamline processes using Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, standard work) Participate in improvement projects and help build team problem-solving skills
Report and Communicate Effectively:
Track and report key performance metrics (yield, waste, labor, downtime) Escalate issues appropriately and maintain detailed shift documentation Communicate shift updates and priorities during handovers
Support Company Culture:
Serve as a role model of our core values: reliability, honor, and trust Foster a culture of inclusion, teamwork, and respect for all team members Support employee engagement initiatives and build morale on the floor
Job Requirements include
Minimum 2 years experience in food production and Bachelors degree in related field Supervisory experience/skills are essential Knowledge of Quality Assurance procedures in an industrial environment including HACCP, GMP and SSOP Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Solid Computer skills Excellent communication skills Bilingual in Spanish is a
