Position Details:Cardiovascular Technologist- Atlanta, GALocation : Atlanta, GA 30303Project Duration : 13 Weeks / ContractShift Timing : 12hr Nights Job Summary Perform diagnostic tests such as echocardiograms, electrocardiograms (EKGs), stress tests, and vascular ultrasound procedures. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining tests, answering questions, and ensuring comfort. Operate and maintain cardiovascular diagnostic equipment with accuracy and efficiency. Monitor patients' blood pressure and heart rate during diagnostic exams. Assist physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures such as cardiac catheterization. Record and analyze test results, preparing reports for interpretation by cardiologists. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines. Ensure all equipment is calibrated and functioning properly; report malfunctions. Maintain a clean and safe work environment following infection control policies. What qualifications you will need: CVOR Tech, 2 years CVOR required. OR only averages 2 open hearts (Cabg/ Valve replacements) and 2 Cardio Thoracic per week (Thoracotomy). Must take call after their shift and 24 hours on the weekend, which averages out to 2 weeks per month. Please inform the candidates that the likelihood of being called in is VERY MINIMAL. RELIABILITY IS IMPERATIVE!! Able to scrub other services when cardiac does not have cases. Would be helpful if they have trauma and Robotic experience. Call based on procedures and not necessarily M-F, will include weekends.
