12 months . What Does a Maintenance Technician Do at Pratt Industries? As a vital part of our team, you'll help keep operations running smoothly by maintaining and repairing the machinery that converts recycled paper into the corrugated boxes we all rely on! Think pizza boxes, moving boxes, and packaging for major brands like Domino's, Home Depot, Amazon, and Hello Fresh.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and troubleshoot industrial equipment to ensure efficiency. Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on complex machinery. Work with various systems, including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic. Required Experience & Skills:
Troubleshooting expertise with
3-phase power/electricity . Hands-on experience with
AC/DC Motors
and motor starters. Familiarity with
gearboxes
and
gear reducers . Basic knowledge of
PLCs ,
VFDs ,
hydraulics , and
pneumatic systems . Top Candidates Will Have:
Experience with
electrical instrumentation . Skills to troubleshoot
logic controllers/VFDs . Familiarity with
boiler/steam systems ,
welding/fabricating ,
conduit bending , and
machining
(Lathe, Mill, Press). Strong understanding of
industrial safety
protocols. Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Physical Requirements : Must regularly stand, walk, and perform tasks requiring dexterity, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, and up to 100 lbs with assistance. Must be comfortable with tasks requiring bending, stooping, crouching, climbing, and crawling. Vision Requirements : Must have excellent vision (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception) and be able to adjust focus. Mathematical Skills:
Ability to read a tape measure accurately and apply basic math concepts. Reasoning Ability:
Able to follow written, oral, or graphic instructions and apply common sense to problem-solving. Other Requirements:
Must have personal tools for the role.
