Job Description : Develop CNC programs based on engineering drawings and models. Configure tools and ensure efficient production. Analyze drawings, blueprints, and design data to calculate correct part dimension for machines, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates. Create routers & assemble production packets for the fabrication department. Occasionally set up and operate CNC equipment. Monitor output and proper operation of mechanical equipment. Make mechanical and/or program adjustments to ensure parts are meeting quantity and quality requirements. Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers, and fixtures and gauges to check work. Read instrumentation and gauges to accurately measure dimensions on parts that are being machines within a .001 tolerance. Communicate recommendations to modify processes to improve productivity and quality. Provide shop support and operator training, as necessary. Qualifications

High School or GED Diploma Associates Degree or Certification in related field a plus. Minimum 2 years experience programming and with CNC machines. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the sheet metal field. Must have proficient understanding of G-code and M-code programming. Experience setting up and troubleshooting CNC machines. Able to demonstrate good manufacturing practices and be able to select tooling and machine resources for manufacturing of parts. Strong mathematical skills. Blueprint with GD&T reading abilities. Able to read instrumentation and gauges for measurement purposes. Microsoft Office Applications. Professional communication skills, both verbally and in written. Strong mathematical, analytical and overall computer skills. Able to work cooperatively in a team environment. Able to work well with very little directive, carry out assignments and prioritize issues. Organization and multi-tasking skills. Time management skills. Detail oriented. Highly motivated.
