Position:

Paws Up is seeking a runner to add to our team. The role of Houseperson at Paws Up Montana is to work alongside the housekeeping team in ensuring each accommodation is set and ready in pristine condition for each guest arrival. The Resort is vast, and each cabin has a private entrance, a large deck, many have wood burning fireplaces. The houseperson job entails ensuring that the exterior of each cabin is kept clean and clear of debris, all home amenities are delivered prior to guest arrivals, fireplaces are stocked and ready for guest use and that any additional housekeeping requests are met throughout a shift. This role will require an individual that can adapt to an ever-changing agenda with a positive attitude. Housepersons will, on occasion engage with guests so must be polite, courteous, and well-groomed at all times. A house person is truly a support person to housekeeping team’s success.

The Primary Functions are:

Reviewing all daily reports and arrival manifests for incoming guests with manager during shift stand-up meetings to ensure that special needs from the department are met.

Remove dirty linens, trash, food, and guest items from departed homes. Inspecting cabins for maintenance issues and reporting them immediately to the maintenance team.

Completely clean the exterior of each cabins entrance. Ensuring all deck furniture, windows, and lighting are cleaned and guest ready.

Clean and reset all fireplaces, restocking firewood, kindling and fire starters.

Deliver Linen bundles to each home that is vacating based upon occupancy.

Re-stock all cabin housekeeping closets daily after stripping the home to ensure a proper linen par is available for housekeepers needs.

Inspecting housekeeping vehicles daily during pre-shift van loading ensuring all vehicles are always kept in pristine condition. Reporting any deficiencies to the Executive Housekeeper immediately upon finding issues.

Tracking all lost and found items brought back to the housekeeping office.

Assisting in moving heavy furniture and rugs for housekeeping teams.

Communicate with Executive Housekeeper and Assistant Executive Housekeeper any deficiencies found with either the cleanliness or the staging of the accommodations after housekeeping has serviced the homes so that corrective measures/training can take place.

Ensuring housekeeping team members are properly groomed to Paws Up standards while on shift.

Constant communication with the Executive Housekeeper, the Guest Services team, throughout the day keeping all parties aware of the clean status of homes. Be prepared to make changes to daily team schedules if needed to ensure check-in times are met.

Maintain direct contact with the Executive Housekeeper, front desk, landscape, and maintenance during shift; Report any immediate problems or repairs needed.

Reporting all outstanding work orders, replacement items needed, guest damaged items to the Executive Housekeeper as soon as possible.

Support teams to achieve an exceptional level of efficiency and quality as they relate to housekeeping services.

Converse with the guests at a high level, being aware of their needs and fulfill special guest requests as instructed by management or the guest directly.

Perform a variety of cleaning activities, including but not limited to, sweeping; scrubbing; mopping, polishing; vacuuming; and shampooing.

Work in a safe and responsible manner while adhering to all OSHA standards.

Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and staff by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.

Maintain flexible hours to accommodate guest needs, due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry; Position requires full availability including evenings, weekends, holidays or as needed.

Looking for Team Members with:

High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work

Previous basic cleaning experience preferred, not required.

Proven customer services skills, communication skills, and organizational skills

Valid State Driver’s License
