The Finance Manager is for overseeing daily accounting operations, managing a team of staff accountants, and ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, deep accounting knowledge, and a commitment to excellence. This position will report directly to Chief Financial Officer.
What you will do:
Team Leadership & Supervision
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of staff accountants to achieve departmental goals. Assign, monitor, and review the work of accounting staff to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles. Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify training opportunities. Accounting Operations
Oversee daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger reconciliations, and payroll processing. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulatory requirements. Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and adjustments. Financial Reporting
Assist in preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and provide analysis to support decision-making. Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis. Internal Controls & Compliance
Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy. Coordinate with external auditors during audits and assist in the preparation of audit schedules. Process Improvement
Identify opportunities for improving accounting processes and implementing best practices. Leverage technology to enhance efficiency in financial operations and reporting. Who you are and what you will bring:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years of experience in a supervisory role. FQHC experience required. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. EPIC Experience - Preferred Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment. High attention to detail.
