Summary
The Assistant Production Manager will provide high-level leadership for our manufacturing operations. This role requires exceptional leadership abilities, strategic thinking, and extensive manufacturing expertise to oversee multiple production lines, manage supervisory staff, and ensure operational excellence across the facilitywhile ensuring the safety of our people, workplace and environment and meeting all company, legal and other requirements.
Safety and Compliance
Leads and Champion workplace safety initiatives and ensure adherence to safety protocols. Reviews safety incidents and near-misses. Enforce and implement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards. Demonstrate working knowledge of HAZMAT, SDS, EPA, FDA, and OSHA compliance requirements. Maintain a clean and organized facility using 5S principles. Leadership and Management
Lead and develop multiple production supervisors and their respective teams Manage production targets, KPIs, quality standards, safety goals, and performance metrics for the entire manufacturing operation Foster a culture of safety, accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement Lead cross-functional initiatives with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain Planning Analyze production data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement Lead continuous improvement initiatives and participate in capital projects Oversee root cause analysis for major quality or production issues Financial Management
Control manufacturing costs including labor, materials, and overhead Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or quality Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior leadership Core Competencies

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business or related field 5+ years of manufacturing experience with 3+ years in management experience Proven track record of improving manufacturing performance and leading teams Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies Experience with manufacturing automation systems and data analytics Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure while managing day-to-day operations Knowledge of quality and food safety practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with manufacturing software systems i.e. (SAP) Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
