We are searching for candidates that meet the required qualifications and experience and are able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.

Job Summary: Provide the first line of support to the Collin College community for incoming facilities maintenance and operations requests, building operations emergencies, building system alarms, and a wide range of issues and services involving the interior and exterior university facilities, grounds and properties. Reporting to the facility control center manager, the facility control center specialist has the primary role to ensure all service requests are responded to with an appropriate level of urgency, efficiency and accuracy.

Required Qualifications:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform a full range of assignments with respect to the operation of the college's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Work collaboratively with facilities management in responding to work priorities, understanding building, zone, and occupant needs, and understanding the impacts of preventative maintenance programs on the ongoing operability of building systems, equipment, and components. Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of facility repair and maintenance work order data in the CMMS system. Receive all incoming calls for service maintenance units with responsibility for interpreting information, taking messages, and relaying to appropriate units. Operate two-way radio communications and recording equipment. Respond expeditiously to emergency situations and breakdowns. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of general service maintenance department operations, including the location of units, services performed, and campus buildings. Contact appropriate outside contractors. for services as directed. Transfer maintenance request data from source documents to the computer via a computer terminal, as. required. Maintain appointment calendars. Make travel arrangements and coordinate all details of business trips, departmental meetings, and other support duties. Update information on the website as needed. Assist with the development of the budget and monitoring of expenditures. Prepare requisitions for supplies, equipment, and miscellaneous expenditures; follow up on the processing of purchase orders, leave and travel forms, check requests, etc. May assist with monitoring the day-to-day activities of student assistants. Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical Effort Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for the Sedentary Work category and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated Light Work. Positions in this class typically include talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions, plus stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching. Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Little physical effort required.

Requirements Associate degree from an accredited institution required. One (1) year of related experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

Licenses and Certifications Valid Texas Driver's License* and insurability with the college's insurance carrier.

*Individuals hired for this position may be required to drive a company vehicle. A Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) will be run in conjunction with the background check during the contingent offer stage and annually/bi-annually for the duration of employment at Collin College. Candidates who fail the original background/MVR or subsequent MVRs may not be hired and/or terminated based on the results of the report.

Equivalency Language May substitute two (2) years of related experience for the degree requirement.

Hiring Minimum $37,465.00

Hiring Maximum $44,958.00

Compensation is determined based on experience.
