Winterwood, Inc. is seeking a qualified and motivated

Human Resources Generalist

to join our team at our corporate office in Lexington, Kentucky. This role plays a key part in supporting our HR operations and ensuring a positive experience for employees across the organization.

Position Details:

Job Type:

Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Work Schedule:

M-F 8:00 AM-4:00 PM

Compensation:

$50-55k per year

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

3-5+ years of HR related experience

Experience with a decentralized workforce preferred

SHRM- Certified Professional or HRCI Professional in Human Resources Preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to effectively present information to personnel

Must have advanced computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet manipulation

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Excellent customer service skills and able to work well in a team environment

Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with the highest level of integrity and discretion.

Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversees new hire onboarding and verifies accurate data entry into the company’s HRIS system..

Participates in and coordinates new hire orientation programs to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.

Acts as the point of contact for benefit related questions including the Company’s health, welfare and 401k plan.

Assists in administering the 401K Plan and facilitates the annual plan audit.

Participates in the benefits annual renewal process and provides necessary reporting to involved parties.

Responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the FMLA process, including employee communication, documentation, and compliance.

Provides guidance and support to managers on performance management and performance improvement strategies.

Maintains HRIS and assists with personnel and management questions related to the system.

Manages all aspects of the unemployment claims process, including responding to claims, coordinating with third-party administrators, and attending hearings as needed.

Administration of the company’s quarterly random drug screening program.

Assists Supervisors with employee relation issues and escalates as necessary.

Serves as a point of contact for employee questions, offering guidance and assistance across HR-related matters.
